Simple sites with 5 or so pages and minimal custom graphics are offered at an incredible $250 for new Carmena Consulting clients only.  Complex sites or sites for larger businesses start around $850 and go up depending on the depth of the internal site links, custom graphics, server-side automation levels and such things as security requirements and maintenance updates drive the cost upwards.  Design examples can be found here.
